AN ACT
To amend chapter 9, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to the designation of
September as ovarian cancer awareness month.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Chapter 9, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto 1
one new section, to be known as section 9.234, to read as 2
follows:3
9.234. The month of September every year shall be 1
designated as "Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month" in Missouri. 2
Citizens of this state are encouraged to pa rticipate in 3
appropriate activities and events to increase awareness of 4
ovarian cancer and the importance of early detection and 5
treatment in saving lives. 6
