4 A BILL FOR AN ACT ENTITLED: “AN ACT REVISING LAWS RELATED TO THE PRESENTATION OF AN
5 ELECTRICIAN'S LICENSE; AND AMENDING SECTION 37-68-315, MCA.”

7 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:

9 Section 37-68-315, MCA, is amended to read:
10 "37-68-315. (1) An employee of a private or public employment agency or
11 labor union, a A building code compliance inspector licensed in the state IN COMPLIANCE WITH 50-60-302, an
12 employee of the department, or a person who is professionally responsible for a THE job site, or an electrician
13 licensed under this chapter, WHO IS
14 has the right to ask a person who is working at a jobsite doing work that requires an electrician's license to
15 present the person's license. If the person performing the work is unable to furnish the person's license, the
16 requesting person may report that fact to the board or the department.
17 (2) An employee of the department may issue a citation to and collect a fine, as provided in 37-68-
18 316, from a person at a jobsite where the person is performing electrical work if the person fails to display an
19 electrician's license at the request of the department employee."
