4 A BILL FOR AN ACT ENTITLED: “AN ACT LIMITING THE USE OF GREEN LIGHTS ON PUBLIC HIGHWAYS
5 TO SNOW REMOVAL EQUIPMENT OPERATED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION OR
6 ANOTHER GOVERNMENT ENTITY AND TO ON-SCENE INCIDENT COMMANDERS.”

8 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:

10 NEW SECTION. Section 1. Flashing, rotating, or continuous
11 green lights may only be used on the public highways as defined in 60-1-201 by:
12 (1) snow removal equipment operated by the department of transportation or another government
13 entity; and
14 (2) the incident commander of a scene that requires traffic control.

16 NEW SECTION. Section 2. [Section 1] is intended to be codified as an
17 integral part of Title 61, chapter 9, part 2, and the provisions of Title 61, chapter 9, part 2, apply to [section 1].
