AN ACT TO EXTEND THE TERMS OF THE MAYOR AND MEMBERS OF THE BOARD 2
OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE TOWN OF KITTRELL FROM TWO TO FOUR 3
YEARS. 4
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts: 5
SECTION 1. Section 3 of the Charter of the Town of Kittrell, being Chapter 136 of 6
the Private Laws of 1885, reads as rewritten: 7
"Sec. 3 That the officers of said town shall consist of a mayor, three commissioners and a 8
constable; and the commissioners shall have power to appoint a secretary and treasurer. 9
Beginning at the regular municipal election in 2025 and quadrennially thereafter, the mayor and 10
the commissioners shall each be elected for four-year terms." 11
SECTION 2. This act is effective when it becomes law and applies to elections held 12
on or after that date. 13
