AN ACT TO EXTEND THE TERMS OF THE MAYOR AND MEMBERS OF THE B OARD 2
OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE TOWN OF KITTREL L FROM TWO TO FOUR 3
YEARS. 4
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts: 5
SECTION 1. Section 3 of the Charter of the Town of Kittrell, being Chapter 136 of 6
the Private Laws of 1885, reads as rewritten: 7
"Sec. 3. That the officers of said town shall consist of a mayor, mayor and three 8
commissioners and a constable; commissioners, and the commissioners shall have power to 9
appoint a secretary and treasurer.clerk and finance officer. The mayor and three commissioners 10
shall be elected for four-year terms." 11
SECTION 2. This act is effective when it becomes law and applies to elections held 12
on or after that date. 13
