A SENATE RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE APPO INTMENT, NOMINATION, AND 1
CONFIRMATION OF PAME LA BREWINGTON CASHWE LL AS SECRETARY OF 2
THE DEPARTMENT OF NA TURAL AND CULTURAL R ESOURCES. 3
Whereas, pursuant to G.S. 143B-9(a), the Governor shall notify the President of the 4
Senate of the name of each person to be nominated as head of a principal State department; and 5
Whereas, each nomination is subject to senatorial advice and consent in conformance 6
with Section 5(8) of Article III of the North Carolina Constitution; and 7
Whereas, the Governor has appointed Pamela Brewington Cashwell to serve as 8
Secretary of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources pending further action by the 9
Senate; Now, therefore, 10
Be it resolved by the Senate: 11
SECTION 1. That the Senate shall hereby consider whether to confirm Pamela 12
Brewington Cashwell as Secretary of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources. 13
SECTION 2. This resolution is effective upon adoption. 14
