A SENATE RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE APPO INTMENT, NOMINATION, AND 1
CONFIRMATION OF MCKI NLEY WOOTEN, JR., AS SECRETARY OF THE 2
DEPARTMENT OF REVENU E. 3
Whereas, pursuant to G.S. 143B-9(a), the Governor shall notify the President of the 4
Senate of the name of each person to be nominated as head of a principal State department; and 5
Whereas, each nomination is subject to senatorial advice and consent in conformance 6
with Section 5(8) of Article III of the North Carolina Constitution; and 7
Whereas, the Governor has appointed McKinley Wooten, Jr., to serve as Secretary of 8
the Department of Revenue pending further action by the Senate; Now, therefore, 9
Be it resolved by the Senate: 10
SECTION 1. That the Senate shall hereby consider whether to confirm McKinley 11
Wooten, Jr., as Secretary of the Department of Revenue. 12
SECTION 2. This resolution is effective upon adoption. 13
