The following constitutes the reasons for this bill and the purposes which are sought to be
accomplished thereby:

LB 64 will establish a property tax relief program, which may include modifications to
state educational aid or the creation of tax credits, to reduce property tax revenue collected
for schools and take any steps necessary to ensure that any such program which requires a
constitutional amendment be printed on the November 2024 ballot, or as soon as possible
thereafter.€
