The following constitutes the reasons for this bill and the purposes which are sought to be
accomplished thereby:
LB70 establishes a reimbursable performance-based grants program in Nebraska aimed at reducing property
taxes by addressing the root causes of incarceration, homelessness, and poverty among young adults aged 18-25.
This grant program will support results-driven initiatives that focus on employment opportunities, upward
mobility, sustainability, equity, trauma-informed care, and cognitive behavioral therapy, fostering positive social
outcomes.
