Summary of purpose and/or changes:
LB 74 would provide that when a proposed amendment to the Nebraska State Constitution is submitted by the
Legislature during a special session of the Legislature, the Executive Board shall submit ballot statement language for
the proposed amendment at least sixty days prior to the general election.
Current law provides that when a proposed amendment to the Nebraska State Constitution is submitted by the
Legislature, the Executive Board must submit ballot statement language for the proposed amendment at least four
months prior to the general election.
