The following constitutes the reasons for this bill and the purposes which are sought to be
accomplished thereby:
LB112 would expand the definition of salvage vehicles to include structurally damaged
vehicles. The determination would be made by the insurance company that insured the
vehicle at the time it sustained the damage and the facility performing the vehicle repair. The
structurally damaged vehicle definition would not include total loss vehicles due to hail or
cosmetic damage.
