The following constitutes the reasons for this bill and the purposes which are sought to be
accomplished thereby:

LB 119 seeks to place into Nebraska Law the partnership between the Nebraska State College
System and the University of Nebraska Medical Center for the Rural Health Opportunity
Program. LB 119 does not intend to appropriate funds for tuition waivers, as the Nebraska
State College System will include the funds required in their biennium budget requests to the
Appropriations Committee.
