Summary of purpose and/or changes:
Summary of LB13:
Under LB13, the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) shall modify its payment structure for child care
providers participating in the federal Child Care Subsidy Program, shifting from an attendance-based reimbursement
model to an enrollment-based model.
Section 1: Directs DHHS to amend the state plan to ensure that child care providers are compensated based on a
child's enrollment or authorized hours, rather than their actual attendance.
Section 2: Original section 68-1206 is repealed.
