The following constitutes the reasons for this bill and the purposes which are sought to be
accomplished thereby:
LB 147 removes the mandate that requires the addition of fluoride to water supplies.
Any public or private entity that provides a water supply for human consumption may add
fluoride in the amount and manner prescribed by the rules and regulations of the Department
of Health and Human Services.
