LB155 seeks to establish that a person who is lawfully present in a motor vehicle has no duty to retreat before using deadly force if they
reasonably believe such force is necessary to protect themselves from death, serious bodily harm, kidnapping, or sexual assault.
Essentially, this bill extends "stand your ground" protections specifically to motor vehicles, mirroring protections currently provided
within one's dwelling or place of work.

The Supreme Court has stated that LB 155 will have a minimal fiscal impact and will not require any additional resources.
