Summary of purpose and/or changes:
This bill would add county treasurers to the list of local officials who are instructed to withhold from the public the
residential address information of certain public officials and civil servants who are deemed to be at greater risk
should their personal information be disclosed.

Explanation of amendments:
The committee amendment retains the provisions from LB 166 as introduced and incorporates a version of the
provisions from LB 334. That bill as introduced proposed preventing public release of the residential addresses,
mailing addresses, and telephone numbers from the forms judges file when they seek voter approval of their retention

The revised version of LB 334 contained in AM 612 removes the original sections and places a nondisclosure
provision in section 24-814, the statute mandating the filing of judicial retention forms with the Secretary of State. The
amended langage also clarifies what information derived from the retention filings shall be disclosed.
