The following constitutes the reasons for this bill and the purposes which are sought to be
accomplished thereby:
LB185 seeks to allow for communication between landlord and tenant by electronic means.
Currently, notices are required to be hand delivered or sent by US Mail. In order for
electronic means to be a communication method, both landlord and tenant must agree to
it. For purposes of this bill, electronic means is electronic mail.€
