LB226 aims to provide a legal mechanism for individuals convicted of certain concealed weapon offenses to have their convictions set
aside and expunged. The bill also establishes a private cause of action for violations of the Security, Privacy, and Dissemination of
Criminal History Information Act. Additionally, it waives sovereign immunity in cases where a state agency or its officers fail to comply
with record privacy regulations.

The Supreme Court has stated that LB 226 will have a minimal fiscal impact and will not require any additional resources	.
