Summary of purpose and/or changes:
In section 1, LB247 amends Section 13-2042 to  increase disposal fees for solid waste at landfills from $1.25 to $2.34
per specified cubic yard or ton and  to change the remittance percentage of the fees collected from a 50%/50% split
to a 65%/35% split between the Integrated Solid Waste Management Cash Fund and the Waste Reduction and
Recycling Incentive Fund.   In addition to other uses, LB247 authorizes proceeds from the Integrated Solid Waste
Management Act to be used for costs of state expenses relating to cost share, operation, and maintenance of
remediation of superfund sites. 
In section 2, LB247 amends section 66-1519 to terminate the use of the Petroleum Release Remedial Action Cash
Fund for obligations relating to superfund sites and remove the Legislature's authority to transfer money from such
fund to the Superfund Cost Share Cash Fund.
