The following constitutes the reasons for this bill and the purposes which are sought to be
accomplished thereby:
LB 260, introduced by the Speaker at the request of the Governor, is part of the Governors
biennial budget recommendations.
This bill makes adjustments to the appropriations for state operations and aid programs in the
current fiscal year ending June 30, 2025.€ The adjustments will be used in programs where
the forecasted cost has risen or decreased due to circumstances that were unforeseen when
appropriation bills were passed two years ago and subsequently amended by the Legislature
in 2024.
The bill contains the emergency clause.
