The following constitutes the reasons for this bill and the purposes which are sought to be
accomplished thereby:
LB269 seeks to modernize the sales tax remitting process by requiring the state to
provide and maintain an address-based boundary database. An address-based boundary
database will provide a more reliable system for municipalities to receive the correct sales tax
rate.
