The following constitutes the reasons for this bill and the purposes which are sought to be
accomplished thereby:
LB 349 defines electric energy storage resources‚ and confirms electric suppliers
constructing, owning and operating electric energy storage resources, regardless whether
affiliated with a privately developed renewable energy generation facility, may be public
or private. The bill also states the Power Review Board has authority over electric energy
storage resources and is authorized to enforce rules against electric energy storage companies.
