The following constitutes the reasons for this bill and the purposes which are sought to be
accomplished thereby:
LB 365 codifies existing Medicaid coverage of self-measuring blood pressure devices and
an extra cuff and adds coverage of clinical support services on page 7, line 3, subsection
(d). Clinical support services are ongoing and management services that require review of
patient data, in this case blood pressure measurements, by a physician or qualified health
professional to make treatment decisions based on that data that are then communicated back
to the patient directly or through clinical staff. €
