Summary of purpose and/or changes:
LB365 requires that by January 1, 2026, the department must provide coverage and reimbursement under the
medical assistance program for self-measured blood pressure monitoring services, including a validated device,
properly sized cuffs, patient education, and data reporting to a health care provider for treatment planning.
 
 
Explanation of amendments:
AM816 to LB365 limits to scope of eligibility to pregnant and postpartum women, and focuses on frequent monitoring
and streamlined data sharing. 
Blood pressure services must include:
(1) Education and training on home device setup and use
(2) Self-measured blood pressure readings
(3) Daily data collection
(4) Data transmission to health care provider for review and treatment planning
