Summary of purpose and/or changes:
This bill would revise the laws pertaining to vacation and abandonment of public roads along section lines.
Section 1 provides county board discretion in declaring section lines as public roads.
Section 2 would authorize a county board to resolve to vacate or abandon a public road under section 39-1410 if the
board determines that doing so is in the public interest. No study would be required to adopt such a resolution.
Section 3 provides the requirements for a public meeting relating to a resolution to vacate or abandon a public road.
Section 4 includes harmonizing changes and revisor changes.
Section 5 contains the repealer.
