The following constitutes the reasons for this bill and the purposes which are sought to
be accomplished thereby:
LB 379 would change the maximum duration for receiving cash assistance under the
Welfare Reform Act from 60 months to 24 months. All allowable extensions currently
in statute remain unchanged. €
