Summary of purpose and/or changes:
LB 42 brings nurse aides working for service providers under the Medicaid comprehensive developmental disabilities
act. It also changes the definition of Nurse Aide to include those employed by a service provider.
Section 1:  Neb. Rev. Stat. 71-6038:  Service provider is defined as a person certified by the Department to provide
developmental disabilities services.
Section 2:  Neb. Rev. Stat. 71-6039, Subsection 1:  Includes nurse aides for a service provider under the Medicaid
comprehensive developmental disabilities waiver.

suspended, or voluntarily surrendered in lieu of discipline from acting as a nurse aide for a service provider in a facility
