The following constitutes the reasons for this bill and the purposes which are sought to be
accomplished thereby:
LB 430
Removes a prohibition of suspension for a student if they engage in violent behavior
capable of causing physical harm to another student or school employee
Requires schools to recommend resources they can provide to assist the student
Requires schools to create a plan aimed at maximizing strategies to keep the student in
school moving forward
