The following constitutes the reasons for this bill and the purposes which are sought to be
accomplished thereby:
The intent of LB435 is to update terminology for similarity to other Fire Marshal Programs,
remove obsolete dates, allow for a designee of the State Fire Marshal to serve as the
division supervisor, clarify information requirements on various forms, and require contact
information be provided for the certified elevator mechanic on staff with the licensed
Conveyance Contractors.
