The following constitutes the reasons for this bill and the purposes which are sought to be
accomplished thereby:
LB495 removes community colleges from the requirement of the Property Tax Request Act. €
With the state taking over funding of community colleges operating budgets and removing
the ability of community colleges to levy property taxes, the Property Tax Request Act does
not need to apply to them anymore. €€
