LB 519 amends Section 83-4,114.02 to provide that as an alternative to urinalysis, an inmate may request any screening test, field test, presumptive test, or spot test of an item suspected of being or containing a contraband drug. Explanation of amendments: AM761 amends LB 519 to provide that if the confirmation test remains positive, the inmate shall be required to pay the cost of the confirmation test. Current law only provides that the inmate may be required to pay the cost of the confirmation test if such test remains positive.
