Summary of purpose and/or changes:
The bill amends § 81-1850, which requires the Department of Correctional Services, the
Department of Health and Human Services, the Board of Parole, the Board of Pardons, and county
corrections agencies to provide victims of covered offenses certain information about the status of
the person who perpetrated the offense.
Section 1: Amends § 81-1850 by making harmonizing changes to list the covered offenses in the
order that they appear in the criminal code and adding the following crimes to the list of covered
offenses:
• Manslaughter
• Motor vehicle homicide
• Assault by strangulation or suffocation
• Terroristic threats
• False imprisonment in the first-degree
• Sexual abuse by a school employee
