The following constitutes the reasons for this bill and the purposes which are sought to be
accomplished thereby:
LB545 provides protection from civil or criminal liability related to donation of menstrual
products to nonprofit organizations for distribution to individuals. This change will allow for
the donation of additional menstrual products such as tampons, that are not currently donated
due to liability issues.
