The following constitutes the reasons for this bill and the purposes which are sought to be
accomplished thereby:
LB608 makes changes to include Correctional Officers and Juvenile Detention Officers into
the First Responder Recruitment and Retention Act. This legislation also clarifies language
regarding dependents of first responders.
