The following constitutes the reasons for this bill and the purposes which are sought to be
accomplished thereby:
LB 61 would require the Nebraska Department of Health & Human Services to apply to the Centers for
Medicare and Medicaid to amend the Aged and Disabled Medicaid Waiver to add assisted living memory care
service and establish a rate.
Additionally, LB 61 would appropriate funds for this Medicaid Waiver service.
