LB631 amends §79- 3111 to state intent regarding funding relating to the School Emergency Response Mapping Fund.
Since an emergency exists, this bill takes effect when passed & approved according to law.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is intent stated for the Legi slature to transfer four million dollars from the General Fund to the School Emergency Response
Mapping Fund for FY2025-26. We estimate that funds would need to be app ropriated from the cash fund in the amount of the transfer.

COMMENTS: The Department of Education’s assessment of fiscal impact resulting from LB 631 appears reasonable
based on amount. Disagree with Department of Education regarding the fund type source of impact.

assessment assumes an accompanying A-bill articulating appropriation in accordance with §49-804.
