The following constitutes the reasons for this bill and the purposes which are sought to be
accomplished thereby:
LB669 updates our states informed consent statutory framework for abortion by removing the sections of Neb.
Rev. Stat. § 28-326 through -327.12 that have been deemed unconstitutional and adds new language to ensure
proper screening, evaluation, and assistance for instances of coercion, domestic violence, and human trafficking.€
These changes will restore enforceability of Nebraska‚s informed consent framework and strengthen protections
for women.
