The following constitutes the reasons for this bill and the purposes which are sought to be
accomplished thereby:

Legislative Bill 697 would add one pharmacy technician, a pharmacist, and a member of the
public to the Board of Pharmacy. The bill would further clarify that compounding for office
use only, and not for resale, may only be done by an outsourcing facility operating pursuant
to federal law. Last, for delegated dispensing permits for public health clinics, the bill would
allow dispensing pursuant to a prescription written by a practitioner licensed in Nebraska
working in affiliation with a public health clinic.
