The following constitutes the reasons for this bill and the purposes which are sought to be
accomplished thereby:
LB84 would have Nebraska join as a member of the Interstate Compact for School
Psychologists (ICSP). This would remove licensure hurdles for licensed school psychologists
to practice in Nebraska and other compact member states through a multistate license and a
shared database among member compact states for background checks. Military spouses and
others that are licensed school psychologists will be able to work in Nebraska school districts
sooner if Nebraska is a member compact state.€
