Camp Augustine is a 156-acre campground formerly owned by the Boy Scouts of America and located adjacent to Mormon Island State Recreation Area. Under section 37-342, the Commission must have legislative approval before it indicates to the City of Grand Island the intent to so incorporate. Following approval by the Legislature of LR 17, discussions can begin regarding potential methods of acquisition, scope of maintenance of the property, and costs involved.
