STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty Five
AN ACTrelative to the term for supervisors of the checklist.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 Choice and Duties of Town Officers; Election of Supervisors of the Checklist; Changing Term. Amend RSA 41:46-a to read as follows:
41:46-a Election of Supervisors of the Checklist.
The board of supervisors of the checklist shall consist of 3 legal voters of the town. At the annual town election held in every even numbered year, the voters of each town shall elect, by ballot, one supervisor for a term of [6] 3 years, provided that the supervisor elected at the state general election in [1974] 2026 shall serve until the annual town election in [1980] 2029, and that the supervisor elected at the state general election in [1976] 2028 shall serve until the annual town election in [1982] 2031.
2 Election of Supervisors of the Checklist; Changing Term; Applicability. The changes in terms of supervisors of the checklist established by this act shall not affect constituencies or terms of office of supervisors of the checklist presently in office. If there shall be a vacancy in a supervisor of the checklist position for any reason prior to the 2026 state general election, the vacancy shall be filled as provided in law for supervisors of the checklist that existed for the 2024 state general election.
3 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
