STATEMENT TO [Second Reprint] SENATE, No. 1895 with Assembly Floor Amendments (Proposed by Assemblyman BENSON) ADOPTED: DECEMBER 7, 2023 The floor amendments revise the definition of partial care services: 1) to replace the term “intensive treatment services,” as well as references to psychiatric, medical, and laboratory services included under that term, with “behavioral health care and support services;” 2) to clarify that partial care services are provided a minimum of two hours per week and a maximum of 25 hours per week; and 3) to provide a list of example services included under the definition. The floor amendments also remove references to psychiatric evaluation and family counseling regarding services provided during partial care and intensive outpatient treatment that would receive rate increases under the bill. The floor amendments update the synopsis to reflect the provisions of the bill.
