AN ACT relating to days of observance; requiring the Governor to 
annually proclaim April 10 to be “Dolores Huerta Day” in 
Nevada; and providing other matters properly relating 
thereto. 
Legislative Counsel’s Digest: 
 Existing law sets forth certain days of observance in this State to commemorate 1 
certain persons or occasions or to publicize information regarding certain important 2 
topics. (NRS 236.018-236.095) This bill requires the Governor to annually 3 
proclaim April 10 to be “Dolores Huerta Day” in the State of Nevada. 4 
 
 
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN 
SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: 
 
 Section 1.  Chapter 236 of NRS is hereby amended by adding 1 
thereto a new section to read as follows: 2 
 1. The Governor shall annually proclaim April 10 to be 3 
“Dolores Huerta Day” in the State of Nevada. 4 
 2. The proclamation must encourage all public schools and 5 
educational institutions in this State to recognize and educate 6 
students regarding the life and accomplishments of Dolores 7 
Huerta and her contributions to the United States. 8
