Requires electors to vote for the presidential and vice presidential candidate who were nominated by the political party that nominated the presidential elector.
Relates to standards for the use of electronic control weapons; defines such weapons as conducted energy devices, such as stun guns; requires an annual report to the governor, assembly and senate.
Establishes that no person who has previously provided a DNA sample shall be required to pay a DNA databank fee for his or her conviction for a subsequent designated offense unless such sample has been expunged.
Prohibits non-compete agreements and certain restrictive covenants; authorizes covered individuals to bring a civil action in a court of competent jurisdiction against any employer or persons alleged to have violated such prohibition.
Authorizes a supreme court judge hearing a petition for an "extreme risk protection order" to also hear a petition for a regular order of protection pursuant to the criminal procedure law, the domestic relations law and/or the family court act.
Enables prosecutors to access orders of protection issued in association with sealed prior domestic violence cases if the offender commits a new domestic violence offense.
Protects the identity of witnesses of hate crimes in discovery proceedings by requiring identifying information to be redacted, unless the court rules otherwise for good cause shown.
Requires the district attorney to notify victims by letter of the final disposition of the case within sixty days of such disposition in cases where such final disposition includes a conviction; provides such letter shall also notify victims of their right to make a victim impact statement; allows them to personally appear at parole hearings and make such a statement.
Relates to motions to vacate judgment; authorizes filing motions to vacate judgment for a conviction that was subsequently decriminalized; authorizes motions to vacate judgment to be filed at any time after entry of a judgment obtained at trial or by plea.
