Prohibits officers or employees of a state agency, members of the legislature or legislative employees from committing acts of sexual harassment while serving in his or her official capacity.
Requires written notice to a defendant of his or her right to complete court ordered alcohol or substance use treatment in a nonreligious treatment program.
Permits at the discretion of the court certain members of the deceased victim's family to read statements in court during the sentencing of a defendant, rather than allowing only a single member of the victim's family to read a statement in court, upon consultation with counsel for the defendant and the people.
Allows family and criminal courts to extend orders of protection for up to two years beyond the expiration date of an issued order of protection if the court finds reason for an extension and places such reasoning on the record.
Restores judicial discretion relating to bail reform; provides that when the defendant is charged with a felony, the court shall request of the applicable county pre-trial services agency a risk and needs assessment be conducted on the eligible defendant for the purpose of determining whether such defendant should be released on the defendant's own recognizance, released under non-monetary conditions or, where authorized, bail or commit the defendant to the custody of the sheriff; defines risks and needs assessment; makes related provisions.
Requires law enforcement agencies to conduct an inventory of all untested sexual offense evidence collection kits; requires a report to the legislature and the governor.
Permits the commissioner of health to share deidentified information as strictly necessary to respond to a public health emergency or an imminent threat to public health, or to consult and cooperate with the appropriate agencies of the federal government or of other states in accordance with the functions, powers, and duties of the department, and may share identified information in such circumstances only when strictly necessary and with the consent of the patient.
Prohibits the imposition of a charge or deduction from a payment due to a health care provider because such payment is made through electronic or paper means.
Relates to the disclosure of beneficial owners of limited liability companies and foreign limited liability companies and certain information about such beneficial owners.
Relates to access to certain restroom facilities by employees of a utility entity who is on duty providing utility-related services; provides that a place of business shall not be immune from certain liabilities resulting from such use; defines "employee of a utility entity".
Provides for the regulation of certain coated and treated seeds; requires the department of environmental conservation and the department of agriculture and markets to review the latest scientific information concerning certain pesticide active ingredients.
