Relates to removing the residency requirement to hold the position of assistant district attorney in the county of Rensselaer, provided that such assistant district attorney resides in an adjoining county.
Increases the monetary penalties for the crimes of aggravated harassment in the first or second degrees or for discrimination; provides that such penalty shall be not less than five hundred dollars nor more than twenty-five hundred dollars for the first violation and not less than twenty-five hundred dollars nor more than twelve thousand five hundred dollars for each subsequent violation.
Provides standards and procedures for determining whether or not a contractor is responsible for purposes of public construction projects, including documentation of previous experience with comparable projects, financial statements, disclosure of any professional suspensions or OSHA violations.
Relates to the purchase of zero-emission buses and the procurement of electric-powered buses, vehicles or other related equipment and infrastructure; requires public utilities to have infrastructure, capacity, facilities, and transmission and distribution systems needed to supply power for the charging of zero-emission buses and provides a tariff for charging of electric buses.
Requires all state agencies to require all contractors that provide services for state purposes pursuant to a contract, submit an annual employment report with the job titles and number of employees necessary to perform such contract; further provides that such information be submitted electronically in order for such information to be searchable and transferable to a spreadsheet or database.
Requires the state fire administrator to make available a specialized electric vehicle emergency response training program to provide training to individuals responsible for providing emergency response and recovery following incidents involving electric vehicles; defines emergency medical services agency.
Waives the state's sovereign immunity to liability for violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and the Family and Medical Leave Act; waives the immunity of all instrumentalities and political subdivisions of the state.
