Provides that hospitals which offer medical residency training in obstetrics, gynecology, internal medicine, women's health and osteopathy shall provide training which follows the Accreditation Council on Graduate Medical Education or the American Osteopathic Association special requirements for obstetrics-gynecology; provides for experience with induced abortions and complications thereto except where residency program has a religious, moral or legal restriction which prohibits residents from performing abortions within the institution.
Limits exemptions from immunization requirements by local governments and private entities to medical exemptions; repeals religious exemptions for certain post-secondary students.
Requires the department of health to establish and maintain the New York state community doula directory for doulas on such department's website for the purposes of Medicaid reimbursement and promoting doula services to Medicaid recipients; establishes criteria for admittance into the New York state community doula directory; makes related provisions.
Requires the departments of health and mental hygiene to create a pamphlet of mental health resources for those who have suffered a pregnancy loss, including, but not limited to, a miscarriage, stillbirth or abortion; requires providers to give patients an adequate supply of menstrual products upon discharge to help with their aftercare.
Extends legal protection to telehealth providers in the state of New York offering telehealth reproductive health services, regardless of the location of the patient.
Requires certain manufacturers of prescription drugs to notify the superintendent of any proposed increase of the wholesale acquisition cost of such prescription drugs.
Requires a personal use pharmaceutical disposal system be provided at the time of dispensing an opioid prescription at no cost to the ultimate user of such prescribed opioid.
Provides that services to medical assistance recipients suffering from traumatic brain injuries or qualifying for nursing home diversion and transition services shall be provided outside of managed care programs.
