Authorizes physicians and pharmacists to enter into collaborative practice medication adherence protocols for their patients; makes permanent certain provisions relating to authorizing pharmacists to perform with physicians in certain settings.
Permits the performance of medical services by a physician assistant without the supervision of a physician as appropriate to the physician assistant's scope of practice, education and training where such physician assistant has practiced for more than three thousand six hundred hours.
Establishes the university of the state of New York environmental sustainability office to lead the coordination, planning and implementation of policies, programs, and processes to fulfill the university's sustainability obligations and targets cohesively, across all university campuses, and at the system level.
Requires that the state university of New York's board of trustees shall adopt a policy requiring all state university of New York, city university of New York, college, and community college campuses that offer membership programs to the general public for the use of fitness and aquatic facilities, to permit disabled veterans to obtain a membership for the use of fitness and aquatic facilities upon the same terms and conditions as apply to the general public, but without payment of any fees or other charges; defines "disabled veteran".
Requires SUNY and CUNY campuses to hire energy management, materials management, and sustainability education and engagement employees at each SUNY and CUNY campus in numbers proportionate to campus size.
Provides for the inclusion of a faculty member on the board of trustees of community colleges elected by and from among the faculty and staff of the college.
Relates to permitting individuals enrolled in the federal deferred action for childhood arrivals program to apply for professional licenses if they meet all additional requirements.
Establishes an Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander (AANHPI) leadership institute within the state university of New York as an initiative for Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander (AANHPI) leaders in higher education with a mission to retain and grow from within SUNY a greater proportion of Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander (AANHPI) professionals at SUNY campuses; creates an eight member advisory council.
Requires disclosure of both criminal sexual offense convictions and civil liability judgments against physicians to patients when such sexual offenses were committed against patients.
Adopts the PA licensure compact to enhance the portability of a physician assistant license between participating states while safeguarding the safety of patients.
