Relates to information available for inspection during certain special proceedings by certain tenants for judgment directing deposit of rents that are in the possession of the department charged with the enforcement of the housing maintenance code of the municipality; relates to the effectiveness of such provisions.
Establishes the "public interest legal services loan assistance fund" of the state of New York (to consist of a portion of bar examination fees and other funds appropriated by the legislature therefor and such other monies as may be credited or otherwise transferred from any other fund or source pursuant to law, including voluntary contributions); provides for administration of such fund to assist public service attorneys practicing public interest law in repaying their student loans; defines certain terms and adds other related provisions.
Provides that notwithstanding the provisions of the public health law, no fee other than those authorized by section 2303 (a) of the civil practice law and rules may be exacted or levied for the production of records relating to the condition or treatment of a patient; relates to access by an adverse party to medical records.
Authorizes a lien against personal and real property of the owner of a commercial towing company for illegal and improper practices; creates personal liability for members of an LLC and certain corporate shareholders.
Prohibits agreements between employers that directly restrict the current or future employment of any employee; allows for a cause of action against employers who engage in such agreements.
Relates to the amount of damages recoverable in a cause of action for unlawful interference with protected rights which is up to three times the amount of compensatory damages.
