Allows cadets enrolled at SUNY Maritime college to use tuition scholarship money on any educational cost associated with attendance in addition to tuition.
Requires the establishment of a composting program at the state university of New York, the city university of New York and institutions subject to the jurisdiction of SUNY or CUNY.
Creates the child care professionals loan forgiveness incentive program for applicants who agree to engage in employment in the child care field; establishes the eligibility for such awards; establishes the amount and duration of such awards.
Increases the income eligibility threshold for the tuition assistance program to $110,000 or the regional median income, whichever is greater; provides regional median income shall be determined by economic development region.
Relates to the delivery of services that are clinical in nature by persons serving in programs under the jurisdiction of the department of mental hygiene, while under a level of supervision by a licensed professional as determined by the appropriate mental hygiene commissioner.
Provides that neither the unauthorized or unlicensed practice of massage therapy, nor aiding or abetting of unauthorized or unlicensed practice of massage therapy, shall be deemed as the crime of unauthorized practice.
Relates to permitting individuals enrolled in the federal deferred action for childhood arrivals program to apply for professional licenses if they meet all additional requirements.
Relates to the funding of certain CUNY programs by the state including the city university of New York's accelerated study in associate programs (ASAP) and the accelerate, complete, engage (ACE) program; provides state shall pay until both programs are fully funded.
Relates to the administration of certain medications by a pharmacist; requires the administering pharmacist to notify the prescribing physician of the administration of the medication.
Provides for the inclusion of a faculty member on the board of trustees of community colleges elected by and from among the faculty and staff of the college.
Bars a person who is convicted of a hate crime from attending any SUNY or CUNY institution; provides for the expulsion of a student who is convicted of hate crimes; provides for reinstatement of such student if the conviction is subsequently overturned.
Enacts "the combating campus antisemitism act"; prohibits the granting of tuition assistance awards to any student who has knowingly engaged in promoting antisemitism in a manner that is directed to inciting or producing imminent lawless action and is likely to incite or produce such action, that constitutes "true threats"; makes related provisions.
Enacts the "dismantling student antisemitism act", or "DSA act"; requires mandatory sensitivity training that includes the topic of antisemitism; includes reporting requirements regarding antisemitism complaints and disciplinary processes.
